When I first heard this song years back, I remember I couldn’t stop crying, and it still does make me cry at times. The lyrics might seem simple, but they have so much meaning. It’s a song about losing the ones you’ve fallen in love with, losing friends, losing yourself, growing up, and realizing that we all go through these irreversible changes of character as we leave our youth behind no matter how hard we try to stop these changes from happening. The buildup of music, the repetition of lyrics, and just everything about this song mesh in a way that creates this aura of extreme nostalgia.
